If your earnings have been affected by the current lockdown you may be eligible for a Covid disaster payment of $325 if you have lost less than 20 hours work, and $500 if you have lost more than 20 hours work. This is in addition to the business Covid grants in the post below.

For this payment each week is treated as a separate period and requires a separate claim. Claims are open now

You can make a claim from 4 July to 31 July 2021, for the period 4 to 10 July 2021.

You can make a claim from 11 July to 7 August 2021, for the period 11 to 16 July 2021.

Claiming requires you to have a mygov account (not the same as your mygovID account) linked to centrelink. Therefore as a starting point you need to go to this website link, and you will need your driving licence, centrelink card and a large glass of wine to get you through the process.
