As we roll into June, don’t forget that if you want to receive the JobKeeper payments for May there are two things you need to do now

1. Make sure you have paid employees at least $1,500 pfn during May, run the payroll and submitted the single touch payroll report. Note this does not apply to sole traders.
2. Logged onto the ATO business portal https://bp.ato.gov.au/ and declared your turnover for May. It doesn’t matter if this has gone up or down, the ATO are just collecting it for statistical purposes.

If you do not do both of these things every month, you will not get the JobKeeper payments.

Please diarise to do this at the beginning of each month, with the last time you need to do this (under the current rules) being October.
