Those of you who are directors of companies (even if the company is just the trustee of your SMSF or family trust) should be aware that ASIC fines have increased for late lodgement of forms.

ASIC need to be told within 28 days of any changes to your shareholders’ and directors’ home addresses, business address, share structure or directors. If the forms are submitted on time there is no fee. If the form is up to 1 month late the fine is $87. If over 1 month late the fine is a massive $362.

It is therefore really important that you let us know when your details change so you do not get any surprise fines.
