If you are a small business or sole trader in NSW, the latest Covid-19 assistance is a rebate of government licenses, fees and charges of up to $1500. It appears this includes business car registrations, paid after 1 March 2021, for cars held in the name of the trading entity.
Businesses only need to apply for the rebate once, but can submit multiple claims until the full value of $1,500 is reached. The rebate ends 30 June 2022.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible, applicants:
- must be a small business, sole-trader or not-for-profit organisation and registered for GST
- have an ABN registered in NSW, or business premises physically located and operating in NSW
- pay wages of less than $1.2 million pa.
How to apply
To apply, first make a cup of tea (as being a government website this may take some time!), grab your personal ID, your business ABN and click here.
You will be asked to either login or create an account for your business, from there just follow the rebate instructions.
If you need assistance please get in touch.

If you are not registered for gst then you are not eligible for the rebate
